Metallica has shared a video of the band performing the Thin Lizzy classic “Whiskey In The Jar” in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The performance was originally part of their Worldwired World Tour at Slane Castle in Meath, Ireland, on June 8, 2019. The video was originally seen as part of Metallica’s pandemic-era live concert streaming series Metallica Mondays. For Metallica, it is their most-popular cover ever, with a charting single in 1999 and a music video that was played on MTV. Thin Lizzy is Ireland’s greatest band and their interpretation of “Whiskey In The Jar” – a classic Irish folk song is one of theory best known songs.

Contracult Collective Share a Video for Their Cover of Bad Brains’ “Sacred Love”

Los Angeles Industrial Metal band Contracult Collective have shared a cover version of hardcore punk pioneers Bad Brains’ 1986 single “Sacred Love” along with a music video! The clip features the bands’ performance and behind-the-scenes footage from their recent performance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, headlined by Metallica and Misfits among many others. Foo Fighters closed out the awesome BottleRockNapa Music, Food, Wine and Brew Festival in Northern California on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 and our review is coming soon! In a set heavy with early classic mateiral, hits, new album favorites, and covers, the Foos pulled out the big guns, as in drummer Taylor Hawkins on lead vocals, as they often do. Swapping with Dave Grohl, who jumped on the drums, Hawkins led the band in a fiery cover of Queen’s classic song “Somebody To Love!” Check it out!
