Babymetal is back as only Babymetal can be. Their new offering is The Other One (Cooking Vinyl). Here are constants you can be sure of when you buy a Babymetal album: amazing technically proficient guitar playing, headbanging goodness, a wild landscape of movement and feeling, and The Other One delivers this with aplomb.

 

The Other One is a concept album about being in a place called the Metalverse. Each of the ten songs have a specific theme concerning being in the parallel worlds that are discovered within this Metalverse. However, one must understand Japanese to understand the lyrics and the deeper meanings behind the songs. This facet does not distract from the amazeballz that is Babymetal.

ALBUM REVIEW: The Bronx – Bronx XI


Despite 19 years in the business, American punk rockers The Bronx’s new album Bronx VI (Cooking Vinyl) is just as energetic and full on as ever. Marilyn Manson is Finishing His New Album with Shooter Jennings


Marilyn Manson posted to his Instagram account today that he was in the final process of his new album, recorded with Outlaw Country artist and producer Shooter Jennings. The album is tentatively slated for release in late 2019 via Manson’s label Hell Inc/Cooking Vinyl. Manson and Jennings previously teamed up in 2016 to record a cover version of David Bowie’s ‘Cat People (Putting Out Fire)’ for Jennings’s Countach (For Giorgio) LP, a covers collection featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder. Jennings produced the lastest solo album by Duff McKagan as well. Manson’s new album will be the first since his acclaimed 2017 album Heaven Upside Down. Continue reading

Marilyn Manson Injured In A Stage Mishap In New York


While performing at Hammerstein Ballroom at The Manhattan Center In New York City last night when a stage prop fell on and seriously injured Marilyn Manson. Manson was performing his hit ‘Sweet Dreams’and was ¾ through his set when the accident happened. A giant prop of two guns fell on him when he appeared to lean on it. The show ground to a halt while Manson received medical care and was taken out on a stretcher, after possibly breaking his leg. The rest of the show was then canceled.
