Falling In Reverse Guitarist Derek Jones Has Died, Age 35

Sad news to report at this hour as we have learned that Falling in Reverse guitarist Derek Jones has died at the age of 35. No cause of death is available at this time. Derek’s passing was confirmed by FIR singer Ronnie Radke in ap ost on social media. Radke Tweeted the news of Jones’ passing, writing, “I’ll never forget when you picked me up from jail in your old tour van to start Falling in Reverse. Your spirit will be interwoven through the music I write forever. Rest in peace Derek Jones. My heart is broken.” The message was accompanied by four photos of the late guitarist, who formally joined the band in 2010 and has been featured on all four of Falling in Reverse’s albums. Sons Of Apollo Book First Tour Dates Of 2018

 

Progressive metal supergroup Sons Of Apollo featuring ex-Dream Theater members Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force) will start 2018 with the first dates of their debut wold-tour. They begin in Tampa, FL on February 3 as part of the Cruise To The Edge prog rock music cruise, which will be sailing to Belize and Costa Maya. Next, they will play Miami, FL on February 9 as part of the Monsters Of Rock Cruise Pre-Show party. Tickets for the upcoming tour dates go on sale this Friday, December 1 at 12pm local time. Infamous vocalist Ronnie Radke is renowned for over-introspection when it comes to his music. His band’s direction on previous album Just Like You, was a throwback to his Escape The Fate days as he felt people were yearning for that nostalgia trip. Having gotten that out of the system, fourth album Coming Home (Epitaph) was about finding and defining a style, and staying focused to a conceptual thread throughout the music.
