Throwback television streaming series Cobra Kai on Netflix is back for season four! And opened with a banging first episode. The heavy metal loving show featured Judas Priest’s 1980s classic track from the album “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” from the 1982 album Screaming for Vengeance! From trailers, to training montages set to Heavy Metal songs to a Dee Snider solo concert featured in an episode last season, the show still flies the flag for Metal!
Netflix just dropped the trailer to Season 4 of their hit series Cobra Kai, the sequel to the The Karate Kid movies from 1980s! The show has always celebrated the decade it came from , especially the music. The trailer for season 4 features the iconic 1980s hit song “Rock of Ages” by Def Leppard. Cobra Kai, takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Season 4 finds the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos joining forces to take down Cobra Kai at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament… and whoever loses must hang up their gi. The series also stars Martin Kove and Thomas Ian Griffith from the movies.
After Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take” became part of the classic training montage scene in Cobra Kai Season 2, Dee Snider showed up for more during Season 3, which debuted on New Years’ Day. The entire season features rock and heavy metal music on the soundtrack from Motley Crue, Journey, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, other 1980s classics, and more.
