Oblivion Access, the eclectic music festival highlighting hip-hop, electronic, avant-garde, and punk has added tremendous new names to the ever expanding bill. The multi-venue music festival returns to downtown Austin on May 12-15. Tickets to each of the newly announced festival concerts will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, February 11th, 2022 at 10 a.m. CT via the link below, in addition to a limited amount of full festival badges at the link below. Joining the lineup are Danny Brown to help headline the expanded four-day fest in addition to other new performers like Grouper, Andy Morin (of Death Grips), The Microphones, HO99O9, Massacre, Cities Aviv, King Woman, Billy Woods, and KTRK, among others. ALBUM REVIEW: Converge – Bloodmoon: I


After the four-year gap since their last studio album, Massachusetts hardcore/metalcore act Converge return with something quite different. A collaborative effort, Bloodmoon: I (Epitaph Records) sees the band joining forces with Chelsea Wolfe, Ben Chisholm plus Cave In singer/guitarist Stephen Brodsky, the seven individuals all contributing to something a little out of their usual comfort zones.

ALBUM REVIEW: Deafheaven – Infinite Granite


It’s near midnight and I’m driving down New Hampshire Route 111. I’m not headed anywhere of importance and have no real sense of urgency. Not another vehicle for miles and the sole sources of light are the moon and the occasional lonely lamppost. The accompaniment for this very calming dark drive is Deafheaven’s latest, Infinite Granite (Sargent House). May seem a bit moody or even scary to others, but this drive and soundtrack make for a wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here moment for me.

Old Man Gloom Shares New Single, Announces New Album – “Seminar VIII Light of Meaning”


 

In a story we have been following for some time, Old Man Gloom have formally announced their highly anticipated brand new album, Seminar: VIII Light of Meaning, out May 22, 2020, via Profound Lore Records. The album will be their first without Bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield, who died in 2018. Caleb had been a member since 2001 and the album Seminar II: The Holy Rites of Primitivism Regressionism (Tortuga Recordings).
