Judas Priest has been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame with the class of 2022. They will receive the honor in the Musical Excellence category, along with RnB legends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Also inducted into the Performer category will be Eminem, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Eurythmics and Carly Simon. The induction ceremony will be held on November 5, 2022 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It will air at a later date on HBO and stream on HBO Max. There will also be a radio simulcast on SiriusXM’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Radio channel 310.

Seventeen acts have been nominated with seven on the ballot for the very first time: Eminem, Beck, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, and A Tribe Called Quest. Eminem is in his first year of eligibility for rapper. The fan voting is also open as of today on the Rock Hall’s website, but only counts for a tiny portion of the final talley and not really a factor in who is voted in.
It had been 7 years since the last time Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett better known for their virtual band Gorillaz had graced Massachusetts with their presence. So it made perfect sense that they had a sold out show at the 5000 capacity Blue Hills Bank Pavilion. Instead of hiding behind a backdrop and have the virtual animated characters be front and center, Albarn and Hewlett along with many guests, a choir, and full band performed over 20 songs encompassing their 19-year career over 5 full-length albums.Continue reading
