Damnation Festival, the long-running extreme underground one-dayer in the UK, takes place once again at Leeds University for the 13th edition. Headlined by Napalm Death, Ihsahn (exclusive UK appearance), Entombed A.D., Vader, Annal Nathrakh and also featuring Batoushka, The Ocean, Ne Obliviscaris, Celeste, Rosetta and more. Bloodbath Announce New Album – “The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn”


Fresh off of their appearance at Bloodstock Open Air 2018, Bloodbath has announced the release of a new album, their fifth overall, coming this fall via Peaceville Records. The delightfully evil sounding The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn will release on October 26th. The kvlt supergroup is comprised of members of Paradise Lost, Katatonia, Opeth and Craft. Damnation Festival Adds Cancer, Bong, Monuments, Vola And More


Damnation Festival has closed the loop on the band lineup announcements for 2018, with the addition of Cancer, Monuments, Bong, Vola, Hundred Year Old Man, and Lik. Lik is a supergroup featuring members of Bloodbath and Katatonia. 2018 marks the 14th installment of the festival, hosted by Leeds University Union on Saturday, November 3. Tickets are on sale now. Bruce Corbitt Performs His Final Show With Warbeast


Former Rigor Mortis and current Warbeast vocalist Bruce Corbitt announced earlier this week that he will be retiring from performing after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He explained in detail on Facebook, “I was just told an ago I more than likely have stage 3 Esophagus cancer. Still a chance for stage 2. I get into more details on what that means and our plan of attack soon. But after much discussion with the doctors and specialist. ..they’ve told me there’s no chance within in any reasonable time that I’ll ever be able to perform again. So it breaks my heart at this time that I’m forced to announce my retirement from singing.

A lot of people would stop fighting, but that’s not Bruce. After going through several treatments this week, he announced on Friday that the doctors agreed to allow him one final moment on stage, and it happened last night in Fort Worth, Texas. Continue reading

Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe To Auction Off His Gold Record For Cancer Research

As we learned earlier this week, Lamb Of God will be releasing a brand new EP on December 2nd. The Duke EP was inspired by the plight of a fan who recently lost his battle against leukemia, and now the band is doing everything they can to raise awareness for those suffering from cancer.
