Machine Head Announces 2020 “Burn My Eyes 25” North American Tour Dates


Machine Head kicked off their first Burn My Eyes 25 tour dates this weekend in Europe. Now the band has announced a winter run of tour dates in clubs and theaters in North America. All dates are below. The tour dates kick-off in Phoenix on Jan 16th in Arizona, and continue across Texas, Florida, New York, Toronto, Chicago, Denver wrapping up at the legendary Fox Theater in their hometown of Oakland, CA. on Feb 21st, and Anaheim, CA. Machine Head Names Matt Alston as Their New Drummer, Shares Rehearsal Footage


In a new video on their YouTube Channel, Machine Head have announced their new drummer, Matt Alston. The Colchester, UK-bred drummer is best known for his work with Devilment and Eastern Front, but has been a session and live drummer for countless bands over the last decade. He has also been a tech for the band in recent years. The 31-year-old drummer started playing at eight years old. The band just shared some jam room footage of Alston smashing some tracks. Machine Head is about to embark on the fast selling-out worldwide “Burn My Eyes 25” tour, where a new incarnation of the band will play a modern setlist, while the BME25 lineup closes with a performance of Burn My Eyes (Roadrunner) in its entirety. Machine Head’s Burn My Eyes Turns 25


We spend a lot of time talking about Machine Head around HQ, and rightly so. They are one of the most influential bands in metal, specifically their very early years 1994 -1997 and their fertile middle era 2003 – 2011. It all started with the granddaddy of them all, Burn My Eyes (Roadrunner Records). Not only was this album a banger right from the get-go, but Machine Head became one of the preeminent bands throughout the 1990s on Roadrunner, along with Type O Negative, Sepultura, and Biohazard. Machine Head Books “Burn My Eyes” 25th Anniversary Show in Hollywood


Machine Head has booked the first US show for the “Burn My Eyes 25” tour, this December 20th at the Hollywood Palladium. The tour will feature singer and guitarist Robb Flynn and bassist Jared MacEachern joined by original BME alumni Chris Kontos and Logan Mader, along with two new as yet unnamed new members of Machine Head. Building on their wildly popular ‘An Evening With…’ format, these not-to-be-missed shows will be a three-hour musical extravaganza, comprised of two parts. Part I – will feature modern MH classics, such as ‘Imperium’, ‘Halo’, and, ‘The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears’ while part II – will feature the Bay Area band’s classic debut album, Burn My Eyes played in its entirety for the first time ever. This show is expected to sell out.

Machine Head has announced they will release a re-recorded new version of their classic 1994 album Burn My Eyes album. Frontman Robb Flynn has told U.K.’s Kerrang! magazine that a re-recorded version of the band’s 1994 album, “Burn My Eyes”, will be released later in the year.Continue reading
