Riot Fest was started a few years back in the grand spirit of the old school one-off festivals of lore. It was intended to be special from the get-go and they have done a reasonable job of sandwiching themselves into a busy summer of Lollapalooza, Chicago Open Air, and many other destination festival shows. Having a mix of alternative rock, metal, Hip-Hop, indie rock, and more has helped carve out its own niche, and between special performances, varied food and beer options, late-night after parties, and basically the cool factor Chicago offers as one of the best cities in America, it’s no wonder fans flocked to the event from all over the world.Continue reading

Fans will be able to enjoy a diverse lineup of local and national musical acts across three days and five stages. Three-day passes are available for $99 through April 2; for $125 between April 3 and July 4; and for $150 beginning July 5. VIP tickets will also be available for $250 and will include limited edition apparel, access to the outdoor VIP beer garden with hosted snacks and beverages, a CHBP poster, and gifts from the sponsors.

The full musical lineup and single day pass prices and availability will be announced in early June. Details regarding the visual arts program, creative installations, digital activities and more will be announced at a later date.

A very limited-edition quantity of Untethered Moon will be pressed on transparent blue vinyl and will be randomly distributed into the initial run of pressings. Built To Spill have announced a spring headlining tour in support of their eighth studio album Untethered Moon, out April 18, 2015 via Warner Bros. Records.

A very limited-edition quantity of Untethered Moon will be pressed on transparent blue vinyl and will be randomly distributed into the initial run of pressings. The CD and digital editions will be released on April 21, 2015. All pre-orders include an instant download of the album track “Living Zoo.”

As previous mentioned, Untethered Moon is the first Built To Spill album recorded with new band members Steve Gere (drums) and Jason Albertini (bass), who join vocalist/guitarist Doug Martsch. Untethered Moon was produced by Martsch and Sam Coomes (from the band Quasi).

Built To Spill is releasing their eighth studio album titled Untethered Moon on April 21, 2015 via Warner Brothers. Fans of vinyl will get to hear the album on April 18, 2015 in honor of Record Store Day at all good Independent Record Stores. A very limited edition quantity of Untethered Moon will be pressed on transparent blue vinyl and will be randomly distributed into the initial run of pressings.

Untethered Moon is the first Built To Spill album recorded with new band members Steve Gere (drums) and Jason Albertini (bass), who join vocalist/guitarist Doug Martsch with guitarists Brett Netson and Jim Roth. Untethered Moon was produced by Martsch and Sam Coomes. One half of Quasi, Coomes, is also a session musician who has performed on albums by Sleater-Kinney and Elliot Smith and appeared on every Built To Spill album after the band’s 1997 major-label debut, Perfect From Now On.

Circa Survive will be performing on the Sunday (April 12/19, 2015) of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2015’s two consecutive weekends, alongside Drake, Florence and the Machine, Brand New, Jenny Lewis, Built To Spill, Touche Amore, Joyce Manor and more.

They are currently touring behind their new album Descensus, out now via Sumerian Records, and was produced, engineered, and mixed by Will Yip of Studio 4.
