Sepultura has announced the release of their first boxed set from their second era of the band. Sepulnation – The Studio Albums 1998 – 2009 boxed set will arrive as a 8 LP Box Set And 5 CD Box Set editions via Bmg on October 22nd, 2021. The five-album boxset (across eight slabs of vinyl or five CDs) contains the albums; Against, Nation, Roorback, Dante XXI and A-Lex, all of which are half speed cut, remastered and back on 180g vinyl for the first time in a decade and also as a collector’s CD box. In addition, the Roorback album features the rare Revolusongs EP, which is available for the first time digitally and saw the band celebrate their influences with covers of bands as musically broad as Devo, Exodus, U2 and Massive Attack! The Black Crowes will release a 30th-anniversary edition of their classic album Shake Your Money Maker the multi-platinum debut by the seminal blues rules. The album re-released in multi-format sets on February 26 through UMe/American Recordings. Band founders brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, with original producer George Drakoulias, oversaw the creation of the re-release. Most exciting are the 4LP and 3CD Super Deluxe versions, which includes the original album, remastered; three never-before-heard studio recordings; two previously unreleased demos from the band’s early incarnation as Mr. Crowe’s Garden; B-sides; a spectacular, high-energy 14-song unreleased concert recorded in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia in December 1990; reproductions of an early Mr. Crowe’s Garden show flyer, setlist and tour laminate; a four-inch patch; and a 20-page book with liner notes by David Fricke. A 2CD Deluxe version has the remastered album along with the unreleased studio songs, demos, and b-sides. There are also standard 1CD and 1LP versions that are the mastered version of the original. The band reunited in 2019 to the surprise of the rock world.
Clutch announces a special new LP boxed set for Record Store Day drop #3, THe Obelisk, due this Saturday, October 24th via Weathermaker Music. The limited-edition set includes 12 LPs, a Turntable Slipmat, Signed Lithograph, all exclusives. The Obelisk is a box set that consists of all of Clutch’s Weathermaker Music vinyl releases. There are six doj um7t. In addition, the box contains a turntable mat and a square, artist signed lithograph. The rigid box has a magnetic closure and the silver foil is stamped on black Sierra cloth. This is a premium collector’s item and only 2000 exist in the world.
