Queen + Adam Lambert Books 2020 European Tour


Queen + Adam Lambert have booked a European tour for 2020, a version “Rhapsody” concert experience they toured in the USA this year. The announcement comes on the eve of one of the biggest North American concerts in Queen’s illustrious history. They will take to the stage as headliners this Saturday, September 28, for this year’s annual Global Citizen Festival on the Great Lawn of New York’s Central Park, playing to an expected audience of 60,000. The all-star event has been staged each year since 2012 by the Global Poverty Project, which has set the goal of ending extreme poverty by 2030. Queen +Adam Lambert will star alongside artists such as Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, ONE REPUBLIC and Carole King. The European tour will launch in Italy on May 24, with its final stop in Denmark on July 1. Along the way, it will play in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland, as well as the U.K., where dates will center around five London shows at the O2 Arena beginning on June 2. Tickets for the U.K. dates on the “Rhapsody” tour go on sale to the general public today, September 25 at 9:00 a.m. local time. There are no pre-sales. Rami Malek Wins Best Actor Oscar Award For Freddie Mercury Portrayal In “Bohemian Rhapsody


Rami Malek again brought home the trophy as he collected the prestigious Academy Award (a.k.a. the Oscars) last night in Hollywood. Malek has won every major best actor awards for his portrayal of legendary rock singer Freddie Mercury of Queen in Bohemian Rhapsody, now the largest grossing music biopic of all-time. Sadly, the film did not win for Best Picture, losing in an upset to another music-history-related film Green Book. The band was introduced by actors Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, famous for their roles as Queen worshiping rockers in Wayne’s World. Myers also has a bit role in Bohemian Rhapsody. Rami Malek Wins Screen Actors Guild Award For Bohemian Rhapsody


Rami Malek has won another prestigious Hollywood award for his amazing portrayal of late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. Malek, 37, won the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role. At the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) on Sunday. The award marks the actor’s first-ever SAG Award win. Malek won, however, Bohemian Rhapsody lost in the best picture category to Marvel Studios Black Panther. Bohemian Rhapsody has already won Golden Globes and has placed with Five Academy Award Nominations For 2019, in the categories of “Best Picture,” “Sound Editing,” “Sound Mixing,” “Film Editing,” and “Best Actor,” for Malek again. “Bohemian Rhapsody” Film About Queen Sweeps Golden Globes Awards Show


Bohemian Rhapsody, the music biopic about the band Queen and the life and times of frontman Freddie Mercury won two Gold Globes awards last night. The film, directed by Dexter Fletcher, was named best drama at the 76th annual awards, while actor Rami Malek won the best actor award for his portrayal of Mercury. Queen members and executive producers on the film Dr. Brian May and Roger Taylor were also on hand and spoke to the media at the event. Malek beat out such stars as Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born, John David Washington in BlacKkKlansman, Lucas Hedges in Boy Erased and Willem Dafoe in At Eternity’s Gate. We don’t love award shows here at Ghost Cult, but it’s cool to see some light shed on the massive impact Queen and Freddie has made as one of the greatest bands ever. Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” DVD To Feature A Recreation Of “Live Aid” And Unreleased Tracks


Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody film is the #1 music biopic of all-time, bringing in a huge $700 million at the worldwide box office.. The DVD/Blu-Ray is coming this February 12th and is packed with features! The set will include the full Live Aid performance, featuring Rami Malek (as singer Freddie Mercury), Ben Hardy (as drummer Roger Taylor), Gwilym Lee (as guitarist Brian May), and Joseph Mazzello (as bassist John Deacon) recreating the original 22-minute 1985 Wembley Stadium show.
