Sad news as Quint Meerbeek, the former drummer and co-founder of Dutch Death Metal band Bodyfarm, has died. The news was broken by the band in a social media post on Sunday December, 3rd 2023, after a multi-year illness. In addition to Bodyfarm, Quint also played in ex-Bloodphemy, ex-Codex Mortis, ex-Deathmarch, ex-Funeral Whore, and ex-Autumnal Reaper. Read the post from the bad below. RIP.
Presented by District 19, Eindhoven Metal Meeting returns in December 2023 at the legendary venue Effenaar. The fest has added nine new bands: Wrang, Massive Assault, Cryptosis, Helleruin, Koldbrann, Mentors, Bodyfarm, Overkill, and Misþyrming. The bill now has 33 bands, but may add some more in time. The 2023 edition of 70000 Tons of Metal Cruise is here! Setting sail today with 61 other world-class metal bands and 3000 fans on board the Freedom of the Seas, sailing from January 30 – February 3, 2023, from Miami, Florida to Bimini, Bahamas, and back.
