Black Sabbath’s landmark bench in their hometown and celebrating 50 years of their career has become a top tourist attraction for metalheads and others in a few short years. Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler to Participate in “Black Sabbath Bridge” Ceremony


The official naming of the “Black Sabbath Bridge” in honor of Birmingham’s legendary heavy metal kings Black Sabbath is taking place in the heart of the city’s entertainment district later this month at the site where the bridge crosses the canal on Broad Street — at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26. Founding members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Hundreds of fans are expected for the ceremony and tribute band Sabbra Cadabra will be on hand to perform. Continue reading
