Watch Brandi Carlile and Soundgarden Perform in Concert


This past weekend Brandi Carlise performed in Washington State at the infamous venue The Gorge Amphitheatre. In addition to a set of her classics and new songs, she was joined by the surviving members of Soundgarden for several tracks. Brandi and her bands were joined by Kim Thayil, Ben Sheppard, and Matt Cameron (Pear Jam) for a run through of “Black Hole Sun” and “Searching With My Good Eye Closed”. Brandi paid tribute to late frontman Chris Cornell first at the 2019 concert tribute to Chris where she covered “Hunger Strike” with Chris Stapelton, and also these two songs for this performance for a special Record Store Day release in 2020. Guns N Roses Shares Video of The Band Covering Soundgarden, Wings, and Bob Dylan


Guns N Roses has shared new footage of part of the band’s 2019 performance at Exit 111 Festival! Exit 111 was held in Manchester, Tennessee, and was on hiatus for 2020, before the pandemic happened to improve the grounds for 2022. The 32-minute clip is part of the Gunners web series- “Not In This Lifetime Selects” featuring highlights from their “Not In This Lifetime” tour. The mostly sold-out tour for the last four years has been one of the highest-grossing tours of all time. GNR is said to be working on new music for a hopeful 2021 release. Joe Altier Releasing Chris Cornell Tribute EP Next Month


Singer-songwriter Joe “Just Joe” Altier has announced he will release a special EP next month, as a tribute to Chris Cornell, who passed away on May 18th. All proceeds from Black Hole Sun, The EP will be donated to Two Brothers’ Light Inc charity in Syracuse, NY where they work towards raising awareness of mental illness and eliminating stigmas surrounding suicide. Norah Jones Releases Chilling Tribute To Chris Cornell, Live From The Fox Theater


Only a week after we lost a legend in Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, the world is still in shock. Tributes have been pouring in with many other artists paying respect in song. Jazz/pop chanteuse Norah Jones performed at Detroit’s Fox Theater, on May 23rd, just days after Cornell’s final performance ever on that very stage, and played a rendition of ‘Black Hole Sun’ in her set.
