CONCERT REVIEW: Apocalyptica – Lacuna Coil Live at The Majestic Theatre


Detroit’s Midtown is buzzing with culture and is home to some of the best music venues in the city. At the heart of this exciting district rests the prestigious Majestic Theatre. The building is over one hundred years old and carries a lot of music history in its walls. Last Thursday the venue’s marquee lit up with the name Apocalyptica. The Finnish act brought their Cell-0 Tour to Motor City, and they picked the perfect place to promote their latest record. Along with Italy’s Lacuna Coil, the night was set up for an enchanting experience filled with glamor, energy, and theatrics. The brisk April night started off with a queue of symphonic metal enthusiasts lining up around the building. Soon the large and ornate theatre room was filled with eager devotees ready for the music to begin.

Lacuna Coil’s “Black Anima: Live from the Apocalypse LiveStream” Concert Taking Place Today


Lacuna Coil is airing their exclusive “Black Anima: Live from the Apocalypse LiveStream” on September 11th at 3PM ET via A-Live. The band is performing their new album “Black Anima” in full for the first time at Alcatraz Club, which will include songs never performed live, rare footage of backstage and BTS moments, and a spectacle that will match or even outdo “The 119 Show’ tour. The long-running Milan-based Gothic Heavy metal band released Black Anima via Century Media on October 11th, 2019.

Lacuna Coil Helps Celebrate Batman’s 80th Anniversary with Special Comicbook


Lacuna Coil has teamed up with November by RW Lion, the Italian editor of the American company DC Comics for a very special issue of Batman to celebrate the caped crusader’s 80th anniversary. The band is actually drawn into the special issue of The Dark Nights Metal saga is created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo and will be released in November, Italian editor of the American company DC Comics. A special illustration by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Riccardo Burchielli, where the band’s power meets the iconic miniseries DC Dark Nights. Lacuna Coil’s latest album Black Anima is out now via Century Media Records and the band will finish the year strong with fall tour dates starting next week with special guests Eluveitie.Continue reading

We caught up with founding member Andrea Ferro to discuss the shows, but also the brand new album Black Anima which releases on October 11th from the bands’ longtime label, Century Media Records.
