Terrible news for up and coming band Betraying The Martyrs, as they lost all of their gear, personal belongings and band merch when their van trailer of the band’s Mercedes Sprinter caught on fire. None of the members were hurt, thanks to the bravery of their driver, but all of their belongings were destroyed at a total unsalvagable loss. They have been forced to cancel the rest of their North American summer “Rapture” tour. The incident happened around 4 a.m. when the trailer caught fire. All band and crew members were able to safely to exit the vehicle with no major injuries. Tragically, all of the band’s equipment was lost in the blaze. A listen to The Resilient, the third record in six years from French deathcore act Betraying The Martyrs, indicates that they have taken their song-writing to another level from their previous explorations on Breathe in Life and Phantom (all Sumerian). Into The Grave Festival, one of the yearly highlights of the heavy music circuit in the Netherlands, took place last weekend in Leeuwarden. A sell-out crowd of over 7,000 people in attendance (not counting bands and crew) witnessed great bands such as headliner Sabaton, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Ensiferum, Avatar, Betraying The Martyrs, Audrey Horne, and more lite up the stage.

In what already looks to be a stunner of a metal music fest, Into The Grave has added their last three bands, announcing their full line-up. By adding Obituary, Ensiferum, and Betraying The Martyrs to the already stacked lineup of headliners such as Sabaton, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, as well as Avatar and Audrey Horne; this promises to be one of summer 2015’s best. the fest takes place August 8th, and as always, the legendary after party is free, and tickets are on sale now. What do a French metal core band, a Finnish folk metal group and an American death metal icon have in common? Betraying the Martyrs, Ensiferum and Obituary have been confirmed for the Dutch metal festival Into the Grave! With these names, the line-up of the festival is complete. Into the Grave will be held on the 8th of August, in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
Obituary is a band that every death metal fan knows. These American death metallers are seen as one of the pioneers of the genre. Last year, the group released their latest effort Inked in Blood and with this album, they proved that they remain relevant in the metal scene to this day. The Finnish folk metal band Ensiferum is capable of turning every show into an epic feast with songs about heroes, battles and booze! So dress up as a warrior and join Ensiferum when they go into battle at Into the Grave 2015! The French metalcore band Betraying the Martyrs will destroy the city of Leeuwarden with their heavy riffs and break downs.
The line-up of Into the Grave consists of the following bands: Sabaton (SWE),Sepultura (BRA), Obituary (USA), Cannibal Corpse (USA), Ensiferum (FIN),Avatar (SWE), Audrey Horne (NO) and Betraying the Martyrs (FRA). One more band will be added, the opener of the festival, but this band will be selected via a local band competition called Highway to Hell. The winner of this competition will open both Into the Grave and Dokk’em Open Air.
