Brutal Assault 2019 has added another bunch of bands for the next edition of the festival! New bands added include Parkway Drive, Azusa, Nordjevel, Combichrist, Caspian, Violent Magic Orchestra, Caspian, Déluge, Frog Leap, and Hexis. the bill with more to come. One-hundred and thirty bands will play in the ancient and legendary Josefov Fortress castle on four stages all weekend from 7 -10 August 2019. Joining an incredible bill that already features greats such as Dimmu Borgir, Godflesh, Anthrax, Meshuggah, Carcass, Sacred Reich, and Carpenter Brut, new additions to the fest include Sodom, Sick Of It All, Therion, EyeHateGod, Gost, Wormed, and Vulvodynia. Batushka Lineup Fractures, Future Of The Band Is Uncertain

In some baffling news to start the year, it appears that members of rising kvlt Extreme Metal band Batushka have attempted to fire each other, casting a cloud over their immediate future. In late December 2018, multi-instrumentalist and founder Христофор made an official Instagram post claiming that vocalist Варфоломей was out of the band. Not long after, Варфоломей made an official Facebook post claiming that Христофор was out of the band. Now it appears that the faction with Христофор has filed for a trademark for the band, hired new members to make a new album, and seized control of most of social media channels of the band. Opeth Booked For Inferno Metal Festival 2019

Progressive metal giants Opeth have booked a special appearance at Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, NO in 2019. The festival recently announced such esteemed extreme metal bands as Dimmu Borgir, The Black Dahlia Murder, Taake, 1349 and many more. More bands will be announced soon. Check out the full line-up so far below. Opeth will release Garden of the Titans: Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on November 2nd via Moderbolaget Records / Nuclear Blast Entertainment. This historic event was captured for the DVD, Blu-Ray and Vinyl formats during their performance May 11th, 2017 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, CO. Both the DVD and Blu-ray formats include CDs containing the audio as well.
