Escuela Grind Finally Issues a Statement About The The Claims Made by Their Former Tour Manager and Driver

In a story we have been tracking and with news first broken by Lambgoat, Escuela Grind has finally responded to their claims of abuse, gaslighting, and mismanagement from their former Tour Manager and Driver. Following a series of headline grabbing issues, their former tour driver, Destiny Harper, was dismissed, and she leveled allegations of gross misconduct against the band and tour manager. On Wednesday, March 6th, Lambgoat received a letter from the attorney of former tour manager Chris Cotter, addressing the allegations made by Harper. Now the band have responded via a post on Instagram. They are still being dragged by friends and foes the world over on all their posts, but at least they cleared the air. They claim the matter is put to bed after this post. Hopefully, from here on out, they let the music do the talking. Continue reading

Ronny Gutierrez Dismissed from Kobra and The Lotus

There seems to be some trouble in the Kobra and the Lotus camp. It seems guitarist Ronny Gutierrez was fired from the band last week after a blow-up inside the band between him and frontwoman Kobra Paige. The issue stemmed from posts Ronny made about the band being nominated for the 2020 JUNO Awards (the Canadian version of The Grammys). No official announcement has been made yet by the band, but judging from Ronny’s social media posts about this (which you can see below), this relationship not getting repaired and he is moving on. This is a bummer as we are big fans of this up and coming band. KOTL are nominated for their album Evolution out now on Napalm Records and are up against artists such as Striker, Single Mothers Dine Alone, and Lindsay Schoolcraft (Cradle of Filth). Fear Factory Drops Clues About 2020 Release and New Name

Thanks to social media posts, some well-placed sources, and a newly published report over at MetalInsider.net, we may finally get new music from Fear Factory in 2020. However, it may not be under the Fear Factory moniker as we know it. Dino Cazares has been posting to social media a lot lately, hinting at a new album while stating, Fear Factory is not coming back. Confused? Us too! MetalSucks reported on the ongoing lawsuit and continuing issues between Dino, Burton C. Bell, and former members/name and IP owners Raymond Herrera and Christian Olde-Wohlbers (Powerflo). You can read about that here. Dino has been tagging his numerous recent posts with #fearcampaign and monolith. ‘Fear Campaign’ is, of course, a FF song and Monolith is the name vocalist Bell said previously is the definitive title of the new album in a post earlier this year, in a story broken by Ghost Cult. Recently our site interviewed drummer Mike Heller’s band Malignancy and they basically said Mike can’t tour or finish their new album because he is booked solid for Fear Factory in 2020. Hopefully, we get some new music from these guys in some way, shape or form in 2020. Continue reading
