Pantera, Tool, Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold will headline the 2023 edition of the Welcome To Rockville festival, set to take place May 18-21 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. A singer-songwriter from Texas, Austin Meade’s new album Abstract Art Of An Unstable Mind is his second with Snakefarm Records. It is a concept album of sorts, with each track encapsulating a little stories of life and growing up – these episodes are broken up by the occasional short clip from the fictitious radio station LMAM. It is a varied record that gels together well, even if the radio clips do disrupt the flow somewhat – although ‘LMAM What’s Your Problem’, with its flat-earther style spin off, does raise a smile. Welcome to Rockville has announced their 2022 headliners for their return to the festival! Returning to a spring event schedule, the fest taking place at Daytona Motor Speedway from May 19th to 22nd will feature KISS, Korn, Guns N Roses, and Foo Fighters each night of the fest! Sevendust will launch a summer run of socially distanced tour dates in the midwest and the southern USA this summer with direct support coming from Austin Meade and Kirra. The trek kicks off on June 26 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and ends on July 24 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. All local COVID-19 protocols will be followed, including social distancing, additional hand sanitizer stations, and instructions to stay home if you’re sick. Snakefarm Records has announced the signing of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade to the roster. Meade comes from the Red Dirtmusic scene in Oklahoma, as he combines Country and Rock music in a fresh way. Meade will release his label debut Black Sheep on February 19, 2021. He has shared the video for “Happier Alone”, his new single, which already has 2 million streams in the U.S. alone.
