New Documentary About Chris Cornell In Development


According to Film Industry news sour Variety, a long-discussed documentary film about the life of Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog) is in development. The film will be produced by Cornell’s widow, Vicky, along with Brad Pitt and Peter Berg’s Film 45 production company. Berg (Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon) will direct. Both Pitt and Berg were personal friends of Cornell ‘s. Last month saw a tribute concert for charity for Cornell which saw superstars of rock, metal and pop perform Cornell classics, as well as a reunion of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. Chris Cornell Official Biography Coming In 2020


Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of The Dog, and award-winning solo artist will have a biography published in 2020, by author and Rolling Stone and Billboard writer Corbin Reiff. Reiff made the announcement via Twitter. So far Reiff mentioned in his tweets that he has interviewed legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino, and Seattle music critic Dawn Anderson, the first person to ever review the band’s music back in 1986. Cornell, who committed suicide in 2017 at age 52, leaving in a devastating loss in the music world, so any details about his life from an official source would shed some light on his life and be a balm to his legions of fans. The Foo Fighters, Metallica alongside members of Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple Of The Dog, and Ryan Adams will participate to honor the memory of Chris Cornell with a tribute concert. “I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell” will be hosted by late-night TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel as and will feature other surprise guests. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF). Tickets for “I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell” go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. PST. Statue Memorializing Chris Cornell Unveiled in Seattle


Vicky Cornell and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) celebrated Seattle’s son, music icon and late singer/songwriter Chris Cornell, with the public unveiling of a commemorative statue. The life-size statue, commissioned and donated to the museum by Vicky Cornell, will stand outside MoPOP’s south entrance facing Fifth Avenue North.
