Aftershock 2021 Announces Running Order and Onsite Experiences


Coming up next week in Sacramento, California, the sold-out Aftershock Festival has announced their full weekend performance times and running order, Onsite Experiences, and Food & Beverage Offerings for the four day long music fest. Metallica will headline two nights with The Original Misfits, Cypress Hill, Rancid, Social Distortion, The Offspring, Anthrax, Machine Gun Kelly, Rise Against, Volbeat, Testament, Gojira, Mastodon, Seether, Mudvayne, Dropkick Murphys, Pennywise, Mammoth WVH, and tons more bands. It takes place October 7-10 Festival at Discovery Park!

Watch Metallica Play Classics and Deep Cuts at Their Secret Show in Chicago!



Metallica played another surprise concert in a tiny venue compared to their usual arena gigs. They played a “pop-up concert” at The Metro in Chicago Monday night September 20, 2021, which only holds 1000 people. Tickets were announced by text and social media and were sold out in one hour. The tickets sold for just $19.83, a reference to the year 1983, when the band last appeared at Metro. The band played their hometown of San Francisco last thursday at The Independent, which holds a maximum occupancy of 500. Listen to the Alexander Hacke (Einsturzende Neubauten) Remix of “Superhero” by Faith No More


 

UPDATED: Faith No More has released their previously vinyl-only single of the Alexander Hacke (Einsturzende Neubauten) remix of “Superhero” – “Superhero (Battaglia Remix)” from their 2015 comeback album, Sol Invictus (Ipecac Recordings). The band was to embark on their first US tour in six years with System of a Down, included Riot Fest, Knotfest Iowa, Aftershock Sacramento, and their two shows at Banc of California Stadium, but canceled all tour date to a crisis within the band.

Aftershock Festival Adds the Original Misfits As the New Saturday Night Headliner


 

Aftershock, a festival part of the Danny Wimmer Presents family of events, has announced that The Original Misfits will be the new Saturday Night Headliner, following the departure of My Chemical Romance from the fest due to the pandemic. The original Misfits had booked a slew of arena shows and festival slots in North America from 2018 to 2020. Aftershock also features Metallica as the headliner the other two nights of the fest. Korn Shares their Performance Video for Their Single “You’ll Never Find Me”


Korn’s released their album The Nothing recently (Roadrunner/Elektra Records) to acclaim. Produced by their collaborator Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Mastodon), the band has taken their sound up a notch almost twenty-five-plus years after their debut. They just released the new official live performance video for the single ‘You’ll Never Find Me’ which you can see below. The clip was directed by Sebastien Paquet and filmed on Korn’s 2019 North American summer co-headline tour with Alice In Chains.
