Nashville rockers 7Descent spent last fall dropping a bunch of killer singles, one of which we shared here at Ghost Cult. The band has returned with a rock cover of soul classic “Ooh Child” – made famous by The Five Stairsteps. Putting a rock spin on an old-school classic 7Descent updates this gem of songcraft history in their own special way. Adding a more personal note, the cover was inspired by the tragic passing of guitarist and founding member Ed Taylor’s parents to Covid 19 less than 24 hrs apart in March of 2021.
