Late Internal Bleeding Drummer Bill Tolley Honored By New York City, FDNY


April 2017’s tragic death of Bill Tolley, New York City Firefighter and drummer for death metal greats Internal Bleeding took both the fraternity of FDNY and the metal world with a shock and sadness. Bill died while on duty, doing what he loved, saving lives. Yesterday New York City honored Bill as Mayor Bill de Blasio and Fire Commissioner Nigro Host dedicated a plaque at his former Engine House (286), Ladder Company 135, and named a street for Tolley as well. Bill’s family and friends were on hand for the ceremony. Although the pain of his loss doesn’t lessen, it’s nice to see him honored in this way. Check out the FDNY’s post and photos below.
