Slightly Stoopid has embraced the cannabis culture as a way of life throughout their two decade career, and have openly professed respect for the plant since the early 90s. The band’s reverence for the sacred herb has been showcased in a multitude of Slightly Stoopid song lyrics, with such hits as “Couldn’t Get High,” “This Joint,” “2AM,” “Collie-Man,” “Sensimilla,” “Mellow Mood,” “Officer,” and many more – becoming a true expression of the band’s cultural DNA. No strangers to the burgeoning hemp industry, Slightly Stoopid and its partners at Silverback Music have been recognized in Forbes Magazine, Billboard, Pollstar, and Variety Magazine for their innovative, forward facing cannabis infused businesses.

The band garnered the attention of Billboard in particular in 2017 when Slightly Stoopid’s Stoopid Records, and Silverback Music’s Controlled Substance Sound Labs label joined forces with vinyl mastering guru Gil Tamazyin’s Capsule Labs, and hash purveyor Rodney Lockwood, to pioneer the first EVER smokable 12” “vinyl” record made entirely of pure hashish. The “hash vinyl” was etched with the grooves of the jazzy, stoner-friendly Slightly Stoopid instrumental single “Dabbington” (from the band’s Meanwhile Back At The Lab LP), and the project became the first and only audio recording in history to be pressed directly on pure cannabis source material, with the ability to extract audible sound. This landmark stunt – originally intended to promote legalization, and the ancillary benefits of a still federally illegal substance – was a one-of-a kind unprecedented endeavor.

To Slightly Stoopid, marijuana represents freedom and emphasizes the larger environmental and social issues that impact society. With Stoopid Organics, Slightly Stoopid continue their efforts in raising awareness for the medical benefits of cannabis and expand their participation in supporting cannabis law reform and responsible commercialization.

Stoopid Organics Featured Products:

Grow Your Own Seeds: “Stoopid Fruits” + “Collie-Man Kush”

Stoopid Organics’ two different “grow your own” seed options are the Sativa dominant “Stoopid Fruits,” and the Indica dominant “Collie-Man Kush.” The seed packages, cultivated in collaboration with The Humboldt Seed Company, were designed for their strong genetics and high potency, and aptly named after Slightly Stoopid song titles. Horticulture enthusiasts are encouraged to grow their own “Stoopid Fruits” and “Collie-Man Kush” harvests, but for those who prefer to simply enjoy the cannabis flower, Stoopid Organics has also partnered with select growers across California to ensure that their signature seeds are seen to fruition. Humboldt County CA’s HYGROW cannabis farm, a boutique grower who uses the glass greenhouse technique, will start to germinate Humboldt Seed Co’s signature Stoopid seeds this year in anticipation of a spring 2021 harvest.

“Stoopidhead Hammerhead” THC Diamond Infused Pre-rolled Marijuana Cigarettes

At the beginning of 2021, Stoopid Organics joined forces with Seabright Distribution and Hammerhead Prerolls to begin producing the ultimate high-end “Stoopidhead Hammerhead” infused joint . Intended for the recreational connoisseur that’s not afraid of a 44% THC content joint bound to rip your skill after 2 hits!! Each pre-roll is infused with THC diamonds, and coated in kief on the exterior.

Full Spectrum 420 ML Hemp Oil (CBD-A) Tincture

Full Spectrum 420ml Hemp Oil (CBD-A) tincture produced from the labs of Life-Patent. With the potential of CBD-A to influence the activity of 5-HT serotonin-producing receptors, medical practitioners believe that CBDA may be used as a way to manage chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, as well as inflammation – which aligns with the band’s consistent charitable efforts for pediatric cancer.

Each of the three products are now available for purchase at select dispensaries in California with additional selections to be announced soon. For more information, please visit www.Stoopidorganics.com.

Stoopid Organics Give Back

Consistent with Slightly Stoopid’s ongoing commitment to philanthropic causes, a portion of proceeds from select STOOPID products go to benefit organizations such as the Last Prisoner Project (https://wwww.lastprisonerproject.org), a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to redressing the injustices caused by the war on cannabis.

More about the Last Prisoner Project

As the United States moves away from the criminalization of cannabis, giving rise to a major new industry, there remains the fundamental injustice inflicted upon those who have suffered criminal convictions and the consequences of those convictions. The Last Prisoner Project is dedicated to redressing the past and continuing harms caused by the war on cannabis through clemency and reentry programs. LPP was founded out of the belief that if anyone is able to profit and build wealth in the legal cannabis industry, those individuals must also work to release and rebuild the lives of those who have suffered from cannabis criminalization.
