Seven)Suns Release Twenty One Pilots Cover & For The Hearts Still Beating Details

Hardcore metal string quartet Seven)Suns made their name known with their incredible covers of Pantera and The Dillinger Escape Plan last year, but that was only the beginning. The group has just confirmed that they will be releasing their new full length album, For The Hearts Still Beating, on June 23rd via Party Smasher Inc. The upcoming record will feature original compositions, as well as covers of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mr. Bungle and Twenty One Pilots, and they’ve uploaded a video for their rendition of ‘Heathens’ by Twenty One Pilots online today.

Here’s what Seven)SunsEarl Maneein told AltPress.com about their latest cover: “We were really excited to tackle ‘Heathens.’ We wanted the challenge of taking a really cool radio friendly song in and re-imagining it our way, which is to say, through the filters of chamber music, metal, and hardcore. In addition, it was also an interesting experiment for me to take a song that I resonate with lyrically and try to translate that sentiment to a completely instrumental medium. We’ll see whether the public connects with our version or not, but personally, I’m happy with where we took this particular song.
