Sevendust Enters The Studio, New Album Due in 2018

Sevendust has entered the recording studio, according to a post on Instagram by drummer Morgan Rose. The band is tracking the follow-up album for their new label Rise Records/BMG (Five Finger Death Punch, Of Mice and Men), and the album is due in the first half of next year. Sevendust released their Grammy-nominated album Kill The Flaw in 2015, featuring the hit single ‘Thank You’, which has tallied over 5.25 million plays on Spotify.

This year the band celebrated 20 years since the release of their self-titled début in 1997 with a headline tour playing the album in full. Produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, the new Sevendust album will be their 12th full length, not counting EP’s and compilations. Baskette is famous for his work with Alter Bridge and Slash.

On the signing of Sevendust, Craig Ericson, founder of Rise Records commented:

“Signing SEVENDUST is definitely one of the highlights of my career. I’m honored to work with an artist with a legacy as great as theirs, and I’m really excited to work with them on the forthcoming album.”

7D Guitarist John Connolly commented:

“For SEVENDUST, it was important to find a label that understood where we’ve been and have some new ideas and strategies on where we can go. Through our twenty years playing together, we have garnered the best fans in the world that have become our extended family. Rise from the very beginning explained a very unique game plan to us that we feel like is going to help us celebrate our die-hard SEVENDUST fans and expose us to new ones. There is an excitement we feel just knowing the Rise team is going to be behind this new chapter of our career.”
