Rob Zombie’s Reboot of “The Munsters” to Debut on Netflix This Fall



Rob Zombie’s highly-anticipated movie reboot of the classic television sitcom “The Munsters” will make its debut this fall on Netflix. Zombie shared a post on social media today announcing the movie will debut on Netflix instead of in theaters. The show will debut along with Tim Burton’s “The Addams Family” spinoff series “Wednesday”.

 

“This fall we are gonna spook-out like it’s 1964!” Zombie wrote. “Yep, THE MUNSTERS and THE ADDAMS FAMILY are returning to the boob tube at the same time courtesy of @netflix”.

 

“It’s been 58 years since this clash of the titans first happened. Perfect entertainment for your pumpkin carving party.”

 

The Munsters reboot was filmed in Budapest and other locations in 2021 and 2022 and is expected to be inline with the original shows’ humor and be “family friendly. According to IMDB the filme stars Zombie’s wife and frequent muse, Sheri Moon Zombie, as Lily Munster, Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang, Catherine Schell as “Zoya Krupp, Dee Wallace, Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson, and Jorge Garcia among others.

Rob Zombie will begin touring in a few weeks on the Freaks On Parade Tour with Mudvanye, Static-X and Powerman 5000 in support of The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy, released in March 2021 via Nuclear Blast.
