One of 2019s best albums is undoubtedly Finnish melo-Death legends Insomnium Heart Like a Grave (Century Media Records). Ghost Cult caught up with leader Niilo Sevänen about how the band creates music together, the lyrical concept of the album, the dichotomy between Finland’s reputation as a place for hellraising metal fans, and the melancholy of some of its bands, their recent concerts honoring some of their milestone releases, to their current tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, and Stamina, as well as their plans for their early 2020 North American tour with Omnium Gatherum and Seven Spires.
