Ghost Cult got some devastating news handed down to us late this past weekend as Tilburg based booking agent and scene tastemaker Danny “Bidi” van Drongelen has passed away. He was 47.

Bidi was well-known in the music scene throughout Europe. He spent over two decades in the music scene managing bands, booking tours and shows, and playing gigs as well with his own bands. Through his company Bidi Bookings he worked with bands ranging from The Devil’s Blood, Saint Vitus, Ghost, In Solitude, Lightning, Vanderbuyst, Sisters Of Suffocation, Sun Characters, Dario Mars And The Guillotines and much more. He was a fixture at festivals like Roadburn festival for many years.

Bidi was deeply knowledgeable about music, a well-known raconteur, a great mentor, and dear friend to many. Also, he had been a longtime supporter of Ghost Cult, and to our team in Tilburg. We send our deepest sympathies to his family and many friends worldwide o this loss.
