Metallica, Mastodon And GWAR To Release Pink Vinyl Reissues For Cancer Charity

Ten Bands One Cause are teaming up with artists such as Metallica, Mastodon, GWAR and others to reissue their music on pink vinyl for the fourth annual event. The initiative has raised over $144,000 for Gilda’s Club NYC, an organization that provides community support for both those diagnosed with cancer and their caretakers.

Gilda’s Club is named for late comedian Gilda Radner, star of Saturday Night Live in the 1970s who passed away from cancer at the age of 43 in 1989.

This year’s releases include pink pressings of Metallica’s Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, Mastodon’s Emperor Of Sand and GWAR’s new album The Blood Of Gods, and albums by Blue October, Lucinda Williams, Sturgill Simpson, Four Year Strong among others. They will be available for purchase at retailers nationwide wherever vinyl is sold, and proceeds will sponsor Gilda’s Club NYC.
