Metallica has launched their new website. They ecourage existing fanclub and account members to reset and update their passwords. The next leg of their World Wired To Self-Destruct Tour begins on September 2nd.
NEW METALLICA WEBSITE COMING SOON!
On Monday we’ll be bringing you a brand-new website! While we’re super excited to explore new ways to improve Metallica.com, we know change can cause questions. So read on for everything you need to know.
What happens in the days leading up to launch?
As we put the finishing touches on the website, we won’t be able to accept new Fifth Member sign-ups, changes to your profile, or orders in the store. But never fear… we’ll be back on Monday, August 27th.
What do I need to do first?
The first step will be to reset your password and confirm the information in your profile. Make sure your first and last names are in the correct fields — this is important for contests!
In the coming weeks after the switch, you can also expect to receive additional emails from us that will help us get to know you better and in turn help us enhance your Metallica.com experience!
Will my Fifth Member status carry over?
Of course it will! And we are looking forward to coming up with new Fifth Member benefits we can provide for you.
I’m a Legacy Member, will that change?
Nope! We will carry your status over and we’re already brainstorming additional ways to honor your loyalty. And yes — you will still have access to ticket presales!
Ok, well what will change?
Legacy Members will receive a discount code for the Met Store based on legacy status four times a year. You will of course still be able to take advantage of all other Met Store sales throughout the year as well!
We’re also reimagining how we provide exclusive content. All Fifth Members will have access to Exclusive Tour Videos for a set preview period before they become public and accessible to all. But don’t worry, we’ll still provide exclusive content that is just for you and will stay that way!
A few sections, including contests and presale codes, won’t quite be ready by Monday but they will quickly follow in the next month or two so those of you seeing shows on the North American tour will still be able to enter to win a Meet & Greet.
We’ve been working hard all summer to bring you our new site and we can’t wait for you to check it out!
