Kjeld Added To Roadburn, Festival Begins Next Week

Long-revered European music festival Roadburn kicks off four days of heavy, avant-garde and challenging music and art experiences in Tilburg, NL. Dutch black metal entity Kjeld has been added to the bill due to Cocatenatus dropping off due to a family situation. In a post, Roadburn founder and creative force Walter Hoeijmakers updated attendees on the last minute changes to the bill.

Walter Hoeijmakers:

We have switched Yellow Eyes to Het Patronaat, and Sannhet to the Green Room on Thursday, April 19th – both bands will still open up just on different stages to previously advertised. We wanted to make sure that Sannhet can use their set up and visuals to the full extent, as it’s such important part of their show. The Green Room allows them to do this with optimum conditions for the full Sannhet live experience.

Unfortunately, CONCATENATUS have had to cancel their European tour due to family affairs. We hope to welcome the band to Roadburn next year, and in the meantime, we wish guitarist / vocalist Balrog lots of strength. Dutch black metal horde, KJELD, will replace Concatenatus on Saturday, April 21 at Cul de Sac. Drawing inspiration from the history of Frisia – their home soil – along with ancient rituals, myths and customs, Kjeld’s music can be characterized by a blend of cold atmospheric passages and brutal onslaught. Please offer them a warm welcome to the Roadburn bill – we think they’re going to fit in perfectly!
