Hed PE Releases Video for a Remake of “Bartender” – featuring Dropout Kings and DJ Lethal

Nu-Metal and Punk pioneers (Hed) P.E have teamed up with Dropout Kings and DJ Lethal (House of Pain/Limp Bizkit) to remake of their classic early smash hit “Bartender!” The band is prepping a new joint EP With Dropout Kings and a tour this summer. It will be the bands’ fourth release in the last four years. The new track is a “reloaded version” of their signature song “Bartender” off of the group’s breakthrough album Broke, which celebrated its 20th-anniversary last year. We recently caught hte band on tour which you can see our review here. Check out the video!

“When someone suggested we remake this (Hed) P.E classic, I initially couldn’t wrap my brain around the idea because this track is a classic. Then Staig and Eddie from Dropout Kings brought some new ideas to the table on how we could do a unique new take on the song,” said (Hed) P.E frontman Jared Gomes. “They brought that trap metal vibe to it and then DJ Lethal from House of Pain/Limp Bizkit wanted to jump on it and add some scratches to bring this track to life and create a rad version that stands next to the original.”

DJ Lethal added, “When I heard about this collaboration, I was instantly down to rock. Old school and new school rock together.”

The song is also the first single from (Hed) P.E and Dropout Kings forthcoming new joint EP scheduled for this Summer. The EP pairs together the G-Punk pioneers with the Trap-Metal stylings of their Suburban Noize labelmates to create a powerful knock-out punch.
