Johannesburg, South Africa based progressive rock band Deity’s Muse is getting pumped up for the May 31’s release of their brand new EP Lungs Full. The band will be the direct support for Monuments’ summer UK headline tour, as well as a slot on the UK Tech-Fest. Set to break out in a big way in 2019 with their exciting new EP, Ghost Cult brings you the premiere of their new video for ‘Still In Hiding’. The clip was filmed when the band opened up a sold-out show for Jinjer in Centurion, South Africa, and captures the essence of this up and coming band in a live setting. Check it out!
Bassist Alvin Boucher comments:
“We chose to film our debut performance of this song and it so happened to be during our support slot opening for Jinjer and Sumer. Perfect environment to film a music video.”
Guitarist and vocalist Wayne Boucher adds:
“This video feels very real to me in terms of what it’s like being on stage and it captures the moment we played “Still in Hiding” live for the very first time. You can see that we’re simply lost in the music, very candid. There’s no pretending here.”
Wayne comments about the track itself:
“Musically this track is very dynamic. It has big, trippy grooves with some prog moments and various moods and textures. It starts in one place and ends in a completely different place altogether. Lyrically it makes me think about where the future is heading and how unprepared human beings are for it considering we’re not so keen on changing anytime soon. We still have this left vs right agenda embedded in our subconscious, a form of thinking that’s continued for centuries and yet we wonder why we still have so much conflict in this world.”
