Call them Apocalyptic post-Grind, call them Monolithic Metal or just call them fucking HEAVY, The King Is Blind have partnered with Ghost Cult to present ‘Embers From A Dying Son (Plague: Gula)’ from their upcoming album We Are The Parasite, We Are The Cancer (Calva Records), which will be released on 13th October 2017. Vocals & Lyricist Stephen John Tovey commented:
“The song is as relentless as mankind’s ravenous gorging of our natural resources.
The music is trademark The King Is Blind yet showcases the development of our sound on our second album, ‘We Are The Parasite, We Are The Cancer’… a focused outpouring of frustration; a violent mix of heavy styles designed to hurtle you along, as if swept up in a chaotic river rapids, smashing you against rocks, and take you on a bruising and violent journey, and is equally as savage as mankind’s neanderthal behaviour.
“With the album a concept album rooted in discussing the destruction of spirituality and community in today’s contemporary society, where we have replaced love and faith with self-interest and the primacy of the seven deadly sins, ‘Embers From A Dying Son’ reflects the greed and gluttony with which we ravage our home; the selfish parasitic overindulgent guzzling of everything we can stuff into our systems, our grubbing and hoarding, our defiling and vomiting out of pollutants, all for our lazy convenience and to swell our guts.”
We Are The Parasite, We Are The Cancer is TKIB’s second album, and follows the critically acclaimed Our Father (Cacophonous) and will release on Friday the 13th, next month.
