Today marks the fifteenth anniversary of the murder of Dimebag Darrell Lance Abbott of Pantera and Damageplan while on stage at the Alrosa Villa club in Columbus, Ohio. Darrell’s shine has not dimmed in the years since he passed. Revered as ever as a songwriter, shredder, and person, new fans sprout up every day who look up to the unquestioned guitar hero of the 1990s. Of note, with Slayer’s final show in the books, Darrell would have been proud to have his songs performed at every stop on The Final Campaign tour.
