On this date, back in 1997, Corey Taylor performed his first show with Slipknot at the Safari Club in Des Moines, Iowa. To celebrate the occasion, MFKR1.com has uploaded raw footage from that night. Here’s the official description: “20 years ago today! – Slipknot played their first ever gig with Corey Taylor on vocals at the Safari Club in Des Moines, Iowa on the 24th of August 1997. The band was still in full blown MFKR mode and Corey wore latex face paint instead of a mask. It’s also one of only two shows that Corey and Anders sang together on stage (the other being Corey’s second show on September 12th 1997 which was also Andy’s last). Now two decades later, for the first time ever we present to you Corey’s first Slipknot show on video.”
