Corey Taylor Is Likely To Spend 2021 Away from Slipknot and Stone Sour To Go Solo

Corey Taylor has confirmed in a new interview with Eddie Trunk that he is very likely to make his debut solo album in 2021. The project will take him away from Slipknot and Stone Sour. Up to now Taylor has only toured occasionally as a solo act, put out a few singles, and of course guested with many other artists ranging from Soulfly, Apocalyptica, Dream Theater, Korn to Code Orange and more. Taylor told Trunk:

I’m actually giving serious thought to doing a solo album and a solo run,” he told Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM.

Obviously, it’s not gonna happen for a while. And I’m actually giving you the exclusive, ’cause I haven’t told anybody that I was gonna do that…

Taylor says he has already informed his current bandmates of both groups of his plans to go solo.

I’ve already told the guys in Stone Sour and Slipknot that I’m doing it, just out of respect.

So, yeah, probably 2021.”
