CONCERT REVIEW: The Unlikely Candidates – Live at Mercury Lounge

The Unlikely Candidates took the stage at Mercury Lounge at around 10:30pm. Despite being a Wednesday night, the lower East side venue, was packed with old and new fans eager to see the Fort Worth, TX Indie Rock band!

The band’s one-and-a-half hour set started with “Your Love Can Start a War,” one of their first top hits, with over 15 million worldwide streams! Among favorites were songs like “Trampoline,” and “Follow My Feet” from their first EP and “Gemini” the band’s latest single! They also performed “Blinding Lights” a cover song by The Weeknd.

Frontman, Kyle Morris, filled the room with his abundant amount of energy! Dripping in sweat, he kept moving, rocking, and tossing his microphone around the stage. The entire band played exceptionally well, with guitarists Cole Male and Brenton Carney! alongside bassist Jared Hornbeek and drummer Kevin Goddard.

The Unlikely Candidates just announced their West coast tour with supporting act The Criticals. Don’t miss your chance to see an incredible show!
