Iron Maiden brought its Legacy of the Beast world tour to the DCU Center in Worcester Massachusetts on October 17th. On this cold, rainy night thousands of Maiden fans were treated to an amazing show. Tour openers Within Temptation started the evening off with a powerful performance as the arena was filling to capacity. Vocalist Sharon den Adel’s phenomenal vocal range and stage presence got the audience amped up. Playing songs off their last album Resist, fans sang along as loud as they could. I had never seen Within Temptation before tonight, but they absolutely gained a new fan.

 

The lights went down and “Doctor Doctor” by UFO started playing and the entire place erupted at once. We all knew it was about to start. Iron Maiden stormed the stage playing the title track “Senjutsu” off their latest album. Half-way through the song a giant Samurai Eddie came out to “fight and kill” the band.

 

Maiden proceeded to play many classics like “Fear of the Dark,” “Flight of Icarus,” “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” and “The Trooper.” The production was incredible for each song throughout the set.

Iron Maiden in 2022 is still an amazing show worth every cent!
