Charity Show Booked In New Orleans For Mike IX Williams Of EyeHateGod

The metal community is rallying around one of its own, and a legend at that. Mike IX Williams is seeing many bands from the New Orleans scene come together to support his plight to help him get a a life-saving liver transplant as soon as possible. A concert has been booked for this winter to raise more money for the cause.

Booked for both Siberia and Poor Boys clubs in NOLA for February 3rd to 5th, the even features a lineup of many well known and underground bands from their scene. All proceeds will go directly to the fund for Mike’s Heading up the event will be Mike’s band EyeHateGod, though no word on whom will be fronting the band as both Philip Anselmo and Randy Blythe have taken turns on dates this past fall. Joining them will be their bretheren in Goatwhore, Crowbar, Flesh Parade, Thou, Mountain Of Wizard, Jimmy Bower’s Bower solo project, Bruce Lamont (Corrections House/Bloodiest/Yakuza) solo, Class Hole, Something’s Burning, Fat Stupid Ugly People and more bands tba.

Williams, the vocalist for EyeHateGod and supergroups Corrections House and Arson Anthem, as well as a celebrated author, has revealed that he is on the donor list for a liver transplant which is needed to save his life. His wife Michelle started a YouCaring crowdfunding campaign and it has already raised 61,123 USD as of press time towards the $150,000 goal.
