Bad Wolves Share Their Cover Of “Zombie” By The Cranberries

After the news broke out about the tragic loss of Dolores O’Riordan earlier this week, Bad Wolves revealed that they were planning on collaborating with the late vocalist on a cover of ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries. Today they’ve released that cover in tribute to Dolores, and it’s pretty damn powerful. Tommy Vext released this statement to Rolling Stone on the track, “It was the greatest honour to know she liked our version and wanted to sing on it. Her lyrics in that song still reflect social unrest, political turmoil and humanity’s persistence in modern struggles. The reasons might change, but there’s still collateral damage with people’s struggle for power and freedom. We could have shelved it, but I don’t think it would have done justice to what we were trying to accomplish. Now the song has a weight and a depth to it that no one outside of being this close to it could possibly imagine. It almost feels like we had to do it. It feels like we’re compelled to have her work continue on through us.
