Atala Streams New Single – “Won’t Subside”, New Album Incoming

American doom up and comers Atala have shared a new single, ‘Won’t Subside’, and their new album The Bearer Of Light from the Salt Of The Earth Records record label. Jam out the track right now!

Issues founding guitarist Kyle Stratton of the track, “‘Won’t Subside’ is a doom track. I love playing this song live because the intro and outro are basically jams we built as a band. The guts of the tracks are slow and heavy. Vocally, it’s one of my most heartfelt tracks. The song’s lyrics are based off a friend’s letter to me about his experience with PTSD. Before the letter made its way to me he had killed himself. I basically wrote the song in first person as if I was him. We love the song because living in a military town, we are exposed to massive amounts of suicide. We have all lost people to suicide. We wrote this song to raise awareness to the problem. The sample on the intro,” he continues, “is from a speech by Howard Zinn, an antiwar activist, professor, and veteran in his life time and a great inspiration to me…”

The Bearer Of Light comes swathed in Stratton’s striking cover art and will be available on, CD, LP, and digitally. Preorders are available via Salt Of The Earth Records here or the Atala website here.
