In December of 2015, Rush drummer Neil Peart suggested that he had retired from the band, which Geddy Lee said was untrue. Geddy admitted that their 2015 shows would “probably” be their last, but that “probably” left hope for the future in fans eyes. Now Alex Lifeson has confirmed that the band is done. In a new interview with The Globe And Mail, the guitarist was asked about Rush, and here’s his response, “It’s been a little over two years since Rush last toured. We have no plans to tour or record any more. We’re basically done. After 41 years, we felt it was enough.”
