Adrenaline Mob – We The People

I gotta admit, I liked Adrenaline Mob’s second disk Men of Honor. It was great for doing cardio. So, I had a good feeling going into We The People (both Century Media). It didn’t disappoint. We The People is the same hard-driving, pristine, Heavy Metal album Adrenaline Mob’s predecessor was. Adding David Zablidowsky on bass and Jordan Cannata on drums, We The People exhibits a healthy rhythm section that has us all breathing a sigh of relief. I honestly didn’t think it would “work” without AJ Pero, but bless! I’m happy this album is as strong as it is.

The title track ‘We The People’ is timely and should be the rallying cry for 2017: “In the land of thieves and liars… In the land of dead empires… Evil words are spoken. Everything is broken. What is this world coming to? … In the …It feels like we’re falling again. Against them there’s no way to win…” I listened to the track four times before I could move on.

It was that darn good. Mike Orlando and Russell Allen [yep, him of Symphony X if you didn’t already know – Ed] have written phenomenal lyrics that will have listeners singing over and over again – loud and proud! Another noteworthy track is ‘Til The Head Explodes’. I love the opening 30 seconds. It’s pure musical bliss. It’s a song that’s gonna get you out of your chair and dancing about the room. You’ll get no quarter with ‘What You’re Made Of’. They are back to back songs that are very high energy.

It’s a reason I really like Adrenaline Mob’s albums. They are stripped down and pure and just darn good Heavy Metal albums. There is no filler. There is no pretension. We The People is an authentic Metal album.

P.S. I’m still singing ‘Raise ‘Em Up’.

8.5/10
