Exclusive Stream: Au Revoir – Sinking

New Jersey Post-Rock/Post-Metal upstarts Au Revoir are streaming a new single, exclusively with Ghost Cult. Sinking comes from the bands forthcoming release Veles (Flesh And Bone Records), due out on March 4th. You can stream the track at this link or below:

Written from March to August 2015, Veles showcasesAu Revoir’s diverse, multi-faceted songwriting, and light-shade dynamic intensity. Fans of Red Sparrows, Mogwai, and Rosetta will love this band. Produced by the band, Veles was Engineered and mixed by Scot Moriarty at Backroom Studios in Rockaway NJ , assisted by Zak Hait. Additional engineering by Eric Scholz. Mastered by Dave Harris at Studio B Mastering in Charlotte NC. The band is self-releasing Veles on vinyl/digital formats, with cassette and CD formats to be handled by Flesh and Bone Records.

Exclusive Song Stream: The Black Atlas – The Other

Ghost Cult Magazine is proud to bring you the exclusive stream of the title track from the upcoming EP by The Black Atlas, entitled The Other. The Other is the first in a series of three EPs to be released based on The Equinox. We partnered with The Black Atlas, which is the d’identité du creatif of multi-instrumentalist and avant-garde rock upstart Peter Koronios, who birthed this concept after learning to play all the instruments heard herein in only 8 short months. The results are moody, heady and quite impressive. Hear the track ‘The Other’ now:

The first in a series of three EP’s, The Other is the initial plunge into The Equinox concept, already receiving features on Diffuser.fm, PureGrain Audio, and , among others. Central figure/vocalist/instrumentalist of The Black Atlas, Peter Koronios, spent 8 months teaching himself guitar, bass, and piano, completing all the performances on the recording himself except for a few collaborations with Jesse Clasen (HRVRD, The Bear Romantic). The Other will be celebrated with a multimedia show in New York City on 11/20 at The Bowery Electric.

New Music Premiere: Funerals- Human Ruin

Ghost Cult is proud to partner with the purveyor of all things brutal, underground and evil, Blasphemour Records, to premiere the title track off of the upcoming EP from Funerals. ‘Human Ruin’ is a blistering cut that is going to cave your head in upon the first listen. Hailing from Portland, OR, Funerals is a band that creates a sound of hate-encrusted hardcore that will have fans of Integrity, Twitching Tongues, Early Graves, Dropdead going off in seconds. Human Ruin drops on Halloween, just a few weeks away. Originally self-released as a cassette and remastered by the legendary Brad Boatright (Sleep, Beastmilk, Nails) at Audiosiege, there are several cool limited-edition vinyl packages available for pre-order here.

The debut release from Portland, Oregon’s Funerals. 3 tracks of heavy, low-tuned hardcore that will appeal to fans of Disembodied, Integrity, Twitching Tongues and The Banner. Originally self released on Bandcamp and on a limited cassette, Blasphemour Records felt this album needed a proper release. Recorded at D-Wreckords Studio in Portland, and now re-mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, this album will leave you wishing this was a full length. Pre-Sales start 9/13/14 at 10:31AM EST.
