BABYMETAL to Release “10 Babymetal Budokan” Album In October


Japanese pop-metal band BABYMETAL started 2021 with the continuation of the celebration of its tenth anniversary by playing a series of ten exclusive shows at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. They were the youngest female artists to ever headline the venue for those events. Now, BABYMETAL reveal details of an encore streaming event, produced by Danny Wimmer Presents. A director’s cut of “10 Babymetal Budokan” (which streamed last Saturday June 26), the encore stream gives fans the opportunity to enjoy a different take on the performance with new cuts and a special edit.

VAMPS Releasing Bloodsuckers on March 24th

Japanese dark rock outfit VAMPS,featuring Hyde (L’Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust), will release a new studio album Bloodsuckers via Spinefarm Records on March 24, 2015.

This 13 track release-produced by VAMPS and Josh Wilbur (whose previous credits include Gojira and Lamb of God) and housed in the artwork of mysterious Japanese artist Rockin’ Jelly Bean-is the follow-up to Sex Blood Rock N’ Roll, released in 2013.

Songs on Bloodsuckers include “World’s End,” a UK single in 2014, and used in the Sony campaign for the Xperia UK mobile), “Get Away,” “Replay,” “The Jolly Roger,” and “Vampire’s Love,” which is not just a Top 3 single in Japan but also the song selected to launch Hollywood blockbuster, Dracula Untold, in that market.

In addition, “Replay” was the theme song of Dark Labyrinth, one in a series of a world-famous smartphone apps from Dark Summoner; the app has been downloaded over six million times. “The Jolly Roger” features in the TV commercial for Nissan’s X-Trail SUV. It’s no surprise then that the album has already been a Top 5 success in Japan.

Most recently, they completed a run of dates in Japan (33 shows to 65,000 people), climaxing with a worldwide webcast of their Zepp Tokyo show on January 25.

Next, on February 18 + 19, VAMPS will be hosting and headlining their own festival, VAMPARK FEST, set to take place at the legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo; the bill will be completed by special guests Sixx:A.M., plus Buckcherry, Gerard Way and Nothing More.

Babymetal Releasing Trailer For Upcoming Live DVD

Japanese pop-metal outfit Babymetal will their DVD/Blu-Ray Live At Budokhan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse on January 7, 2015. A trailer for the DVD can be viewed here.

The DVD set consists of the band’s Nippon Budokhan performances from March 2014, when the three Babymetal singers/performers became the youngest artists to ever appear at the famed venue.

Live At Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse
will be made available in three formats: a DVD/Blu-ray box featuring both Nippon Budokan concerts (with the first dubbed “Red Night” and second “Black Night”); a CD titled Live At Budokan: Red Night containing an audio recording of the first Budokan show (the initial pressing of the CD will include the code to digitally download the new song “The One”, which is a collaboration between BABYMETAL’s production team and guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman of British epic power metallers DRAGONFORCE); and a Limited Box exclusive to the BABYMETAL fan club members, “Live At Budokan ‘Budo-Can’ – The One – Limited Box”, a can-shaped package featuring the DVD/Blu-ray of both nights, plus the exclusive CD “Live At Budokan: Black Night” containing the audio recording of the second Budokhan concert.
