Legendary Oslo Black Metal Landmark and Record Store Neseblod Suffers a Fire


According to a published report by VG News in Norway, Oslo record store Neseblod Records has suffered a fire and a major loss of business. As of now, it is unknown how extensive the damage is, but in the article, the owners feared a total loss, especially historic memorabilia from the store and the first and second wave Black Metal scene.Originally known as Helvete (“Hell”) the record store was owned by Øystein “Euronymous” Aarseth. In addition to the meta and rock store, the basement housed the Black Circle club where the Norwegian Black Metal scene formed and bands such as Aarseth’s band Mayhem and many others that sprung from the store employees and its denizens. The store was also immortalized in the Aarseth biopic Lords of Chaos by Jonas Ackerlund. In addition to a crucial piece of metal history, the store had continued to be a tourist attraction and a tour stop during Inferno Metal Festival’s popular annual Black Metal History tour. Following a slew of newly announced special sets and tribute events, Beyond the Gates 2024 has completed its lineup with nine final bands and more exclusive performances. Hellsinki Metal Festival Has Booked Avantasia, Hammerfall, Kreator, Satyricon, Insomnium, Doro, Blackbraid and More for 2024


Hellsinki Metal Festival has announced their first bands for the 2024 event! The fest takes place on August 9th & 10th in Helsinki@! The first announcement includes Avantasia, Hammerfall, Kreator, Satyricon, Insomnium, Doro, Blackbraid and many more! Hellsinki Metal Festival, organized for the first time this year, found its own place on the Finnish festival grounds on the second weekend of August in 2023. More than 11,000 visitors were able to enjoy a bold and versatile lineup of performers, which also included several bands that rarely visit Finland.
