The time is nigh! Psychedelic Stoner band Solar Haze is dropping their self-titled debut album on 4/20 (of course!) via Metal Assualt Records! Full of thick, ripping riffs, head-nodding beats, fuzzed out bass, and dramatic stacked vocals, the band is looking to make a big splash on the scene in 2019 with this release. The band comments:
“Coven is about the lengths people will go to get any semblance of power, and how easily people are deceived. The song talks about being tricked into sacrificing your first born and how you are being tempted with all this power. ‘Expanding mind sedates, dimension ripples inebriate’. But at the same time, the ones talking about this power aren’t who they say they are, which is what we mean by the line … ‘Demons fall from the sky, pose as angels with their lies’. People will do whatever, if it’s coming from something/someone they believe in. With this song, we try to get some psychedelic imagery going and match it with heavy fuzzed-out riffs and then have the song climax with a segment that makes it feel like the world around you is crumbling.”
Solar Haze finished recording their album at Bonita Studios in Bonita, California in January 2019, and the album was produced, mixed, engineered and mastered by Eddie Vazquez. Solar Haze is the third signing to Andrew Bansal’s Metal Assault Records, a carefully curated label bringing the best in underground bands from across the heavy music spectrum.
